Business Development

Business Development can take many forms and CenterState CEO has them all covered. The Tech Garden is the region’s leading business accelerator providing programs and support for companies in every stage of their lifecycle.

Some of The Tech Garden’s leading programs include: Startup Labs, a three-week accelerator program providing, mentorship and technical support; and the Syracuse Student Sandbox which works with young startups spawned from local colleges and universities, helping them advance their ideas to market.

Partnering with Empire State Development and the Syracuse Center of Excellence, CEO awards Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP) grants to businesses in the region to encourage innovation and commercialization of products developed by companies in Central New York.

It isn’t all about the money though. CEO also studies the local economy and develops and annual business forecast in a number of sectors of local interest. This forecast is designed to help companies see if their peers share their expectations about the business climate in the coming year.

As a 2000 member organization we also focus on collaboration. Meet UpsBusiness Before or After Hours and Speed Networking are all designed to put you in touch with other members of the local business community.

Education, funding, information and connections, these are just the start. CEO also leads in big picture business areas such as doubling the regions exports. Working with Brookings Institution and the Battelle Group we have rolled out a plan to put Central New York’s businesses in touch with the world.
